In the meantime, while she was still traveling through Asia she discovered how many talented and interesting artists are living and working in countries like Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand. In 2016 she continued her travels and discovered many more emerging and established artists in Vietnam who invited her to their studios in Dalat, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City.

That inspired her to start soikigallery.com in 2022 to promote contemporary art from the artists living and working in Asia. In future to organize art events and travels to bring together art lovers, collectors and artists to exchange ideas about art and culture, to enjoy the beauty and joy brought by art.

Also very important is that soikigallery.com helps art collectors and art lovers finding the most suitable art piece(s) for their satisfaction

soikigallery.com and PLAY room have joined forces for the exhibition ´Vietnam Today´. Both organisations have been dedicated to bring art and people together on an international level. PLAY room located in the city-center of Zaandam has been showing artists from all parts of this globe. 

Together they have selected 6 contemporary artists living and working in Vietnam, namely: 

COLM PIERCE, DOAN XUAN TANG,HOANG DANG KHANH, NGUYEN HIEU, PHUONG LUONG andXUAN HA. 

They all are from different parts of their country and don´t represent a so called ´Vietnamese school´.  But they do show how they all individually try to adopt contemporary art practice in a more conservative cultural landscape. And the result is a vibrant exhibition that shows their love for their enviroment, but it also shows their dreams. 

You are welcome to visit the exhibition ´Vietnam Today´ from 2 till 17 November, open Saturday and Sunday from 13 to 18h.
