Along the water of the Gedempte Gracht, strolling from shop to shop is fun. Especially when the shops and canal are in party mood. Here you will find large and smaller chains next to each other without it getting confusing and the cafés on Dam Square are a great place to relax after shopping.

Shopping overlooking the Zaanbocht with beautifully restored warehouses and factories. Shopping in the Zaanbocht in Wormerveer has also literally been 'in' in recent years.
The shopping street Zaanbocht offers great shopping, good food/drink and free parking. Hip boutiques, trendy shops plus a fresh spirit in the shops that have been there for a long time. There is everything: food, fashion, gift shops and design.

Krommenie's shopkeepers' association confidently calls Krommenie "the nicest village in Zaanstad" and as far as shopping is concerned, this may well be true.
You will find a nice village atmosphere with shops that often have a long history. In addition, the Noorderhoofdstraat shopping street still has fine examples of Zaan wood architecture from the 17th to 19th century. In winter, when the traditional Dickens Christmas market is held here, you can imagine yourself back in time.
